Where is the Snowy River Country?
During the Christmas/New Year period 1997/98 Graeme was fortunate to be able to spend time driving 9733 km (6048 miles) around the eastern half of Australia. This took him from the Gold Coast, Northwest through Queensland (Roma, Longreach, Mount Isa, Camooweal) into the Northern Territory, down the Stuart Highway (Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Coober Pedy, Port Augusta) to Adelaide and Kangaroo Island, then around the coast of South Australia, Victoria and into New South Wales before completing the round trip to home.
One particularly pleasant part of the drive was the road between Buchan and Orbost in southeastern Victoria. It was there that he took this photograph. At the right is a Jacaranda tree in full bloom, while at the left, majestic eucalypts grow on the bank of the Snowy River.
This, by the way, is the 100th charted design by Ross Originals!
