One of the world's favorite horses, the Palomino, originated in the United States of America. It is not yet regarded as an established breed as its characteristics are far from uniform. The one feature that all Palominos have in common is their distinctive coat, the colour of which cannot be produced in any other breed.
The origins of the Palomino, according to some authorities, go back to the time of Homer. It is much appreciated as a saddle horse in America, whilst the pony version is reared in the United Kingdom and provides an ideal mount for children, on account of its docility.
