Crafty Frog welcomes Helen Dafter, Fiona Hammond, Elizabeth Myszka, Ruth Kelly, Julie Collins and Suzanne Clarke as our new teachers – although Helen did teach in the old shop many years ago! Along with our existing teachers, Lexie, Belinda and Christina, this year is going to be filled with many new projects and directions! I am taking expressions of interest for Helen’s class as she is unable to give me a definite date at the moment.
Please note all original designs taught remain the property of the teacher concerned and Crafty Frog. Whilst we are happy for you to make and give items taught in our classes, you must ask permission of the teachers before selling completed items and patterns or being paid to teach others.
Class Costs: There has been a small increase in class fees from $30 for three hours to $35 for 3 hours.
I’m also endeavouring to make classes appropriate for the time of the year. So in the lead-up to Mothers Day, we are making items that would be wonderful to give to that special person. This, of course, doesn’t mean that you can’t give the finished gifts on other special occasions such as Birthdays, anniversaries etc. We will also be having “Christmas in July” and to this end we’ll be starting on Christmas decorations and gifts to ensure heaps of time to start and finish your chosen project.

Bead Embellished Brooch with Fiona

Fiona will show you how to make her bead-embellished brooches. You will create one brooch in the workshop. Several bead-embellishment techniques, and construction techniques for the brooches, are taught during the workshop. Fiona will also explain how these techniques can be used in other jewellery (e.g. necklaces and earrings) and on your quilts or other textile art pieces. Templates will be provided in the class notes, but you may also create your own shapes and designs if you prefer. Come along and have some fun with beads and fabrics, and let your creativity soar.

CLASS TERMS & CONDITIONS
A deposit of 50% must be paid at the time of booking any classes to secure your place. Payment can either be made in person or over the phone by using MasterCard, Bankcard, Visa or Amex. If class numbers are insufficient we reserve the right to cancel the class. If Crafty Frog cancels a class your deposit will be refunded, transferred as a deposit to another class or held as a credit on shop stock. We are unable to refund your deposit if you do not attend a class. Whilst every effort is made to “make-up” for classes you have missed this is not always possible and is not the responsibility of Crafty Frog.
