 Craft Classes for Kids, with Kaye - monthly

Saturday 23 April 1-4pm:   Beading (learn bead making with paper and Fimo to make a necklace or bracelet)
Saturday 28 May 1-4pm:  Basic Knitting (techniques for beginning knitting.  Knit a teddy bear)
Saturday 25 June 1-4pm:  Weaving (weave a small wall hanging using textured yarns and shells etc)
Saturday 23 July 1-4pm:  Silk Painted Sun Catcher
Saturday 27 August 1-4pm:  Surface Design (learn techniques on felting, top stitching, beading and fringing to decorate a felt bag or book cover)

Ann's classes are designed to cater for those with no Crochet experience through to those wanting to learn new techniques and projects, or who just need assistance with a project

Don't have a spinning wheel, no problems.  Rewa will bring along enough spinning wheels for everyone to learn on with the option to purchase one at the end of the class.

Silk Painting and Dyeing with Kaye:  Tuesday 9.30am - 12.30pm or Saturday 1.00-4.00pm
Course Cost:  $35 per 3 hour lesson ie $140 for Part 1 and $70 for Part 2. 
Kit Extra - $27.50
 
Part 1 - In weeks one to four you will learn basic silk painting techniques to create your own beautiful home decor pieces or wearable art.  Weeks five and six will introduce you to Silk dyeing techniques, special effects, pattern design and then finishing up and putting the project together.

Part 2 - Kaye will demonstrate the techniques of  Silk Dyeing and how to achieve interesting and special effects using added mediums and methods, to create a scarf or home decor piece.

 Stitch'n Chat:  Each and every Thursday from 9.30am until 2ish :)  Come and join this wonderful chatty group and bring along your work in progress, or I'm sure it won't take much for the group to organise a new project for you.  Please note this is NOT a class and if there is a teacher present it is simply to Stitch'n Chat with the rest of the group :)  Cost for this outing is a Gold Coin donation please to cover tea, coffee, biscuits.
