Crafty Frog Background

Welcome!!

Firstly a very warm welcome to those who have only just discovered Crafty Frog. Crafty Frog opened its doors on Tuesday 05 October 1999.

Apart from friendly, personal service, I offer an ever expanding range of Cross Stitch, Embroidery and Tapestry supplies and am currently putting together a collection of goods which will form the craft gallery side of the business. I would love to hear from crafts people interested in selling items of handwork in the gallery – on consignment.

Why "Crafty Frog"?

As this is a question I am frequently asked I’ve decided to answer it, for the benefit of all those who have yet to ask. Many who know me know I am frog mad – I think they’re wonderful. I was looking for a name for my business that enabled me to expand into whatever area I chose, whilst having a business name that couldn’t be forgotten and so I chose to name it after my 2 loves – after my family of course – craft and frogs. Those who have been to the shop will by now have seen my beautiful red-eyed green tree frog, sitting on his lily pad complete with needle in mouth!!! You will also have experienced the frog greeting you as you enter the door, and no doubt mused at my small but expanding range of frog mementos. I fully intend to overrun the shop with frogs, not real ones at this stage, so be warned!!! For those who haven’t seen my frogs, it’s worth a visit to the shop.
